Welcome to The Insect Hospital STEM Workshop

Unlock your students' creativity and scientific curiosity with Beyond the Beanstalk's Inside the Beanstalk STEM Workshop!

Designed for children aged 3-5 and 5-12, this innovative workshop immerses young minds in the world of insects and engineering. Our programme aligns seamlessly with the EYLF, MTOP, and Australian Curriculum, providing a rich, educational experience.

Become Insect Architects

Children will embark on a journey where they become architects of their very own insect hospitals. This hands-on workshop is designed to foster a love for nature and engineering, helping children understand the intricate lives of insects and the importance of their habitats.

Insect Exploration: Learn About Insects: Discover fascinating facts about different insects, their habitats, and their roles in the ecosystem.

Insect Habitats: Understand what makes a suitable habitat for various insects and why these habitats are crucial for their survival.

Hands-On Engineering Building Insect Hospitals: Hospital Concepts: Learn what a hospital is and the different roles it plays in caring for living beings.

Design and Construction: Children will engineer a large Beyond the Beanstalk insect hospital. They will collaborate to design and build this structure, which they can actually go inside, experiencing the results of their teamwork and creativity firsthand.
