Growley and the Twitching Tail: About Me
Flying a Drone

The Spaceship Tree:
The Drone Dilemma

 Can you pilot a drone?

Can you navigate an obstacle course?

Can you build a self moving helicopter?

Are you ready to embark on a Spaceship Tree Adventure?

The crew of The Spaceship Tree are back with a brand new adventure!
In this Storytime STEM workshop, children will view the story of
The Spaceship Tree: The Drone Dilemma on the Beyond the Beanstalk giant storybook.

Children will then learn how to fly hand operated drones in this interactive drone activity. Children will work in small groups while learning to fly and operate the drones. Once they have mastered the art of flying they will then have to navigate the drones through some obstacles.

Next children will make a self moving drone propellor that they get to keep! This great activity uses everyday objects and a little bit of imagination to make a moving helicopter. We will look at why the helicopter moves and how it moves through some simple engineering.

Upon completion of this workshop, every child will receive a Beyond the Beanstalk drone flying licence.
