Where the Mirrors Grow: About Me

Where the Mirrors Grow
(part one)

Where the mirrors grow

Where do mirrors come from?
Are they made by machines?
Are they hand made?
Or do they grow like trees in a forest?

Are you ready for a new adventure beyond the beanstalk?

A story where mirrors aren't just a device to look at your reflection, these mirrors grow and grow into a beautiful forest of mirrors!

Children will hear the story of Where the Mirrors Grow (Part One) and learn about scientific and mathematical terms for the ways that the mirrors can move.

Children will not only manipulate mirrors, exercising their fine motor skills and cognitive functions, they will learn about light reflection as they explore the STEM concepts of science and maths.

Our mirrors allow children to explore reflections and how they can be manipulated. Children will change the appearance of the reflection on some mirrors, look right through a mirror, stand between mirrors to have their reflection go on for forever and using our custom built infinity mirror, gaze upon their reflection in wonder.

The workshop isn't over at this point, the group will then conduct an investigation into how their reflection changes while looking into different shaped mirrors.

Every child will make their own hand held mirror that they can decorate and keep.
