Welcome to The Forces School Circuit
Embark on a Journey into the Fascinating World of Forces and Energy!
Are you ready to unlock the secrets of energy and motion? Join us for an exhilarating experience designed for primary school students as we delve into the wonders of forces in our Forces School Circuit!
Discover the Wonders of Energy and Motion
How does energy propel objects? What role does air pressure play in movement? How does temperature affect energy transfer? These are just some of the questions we'll explore in this engaging STEM activity. Through hands-on experiments and interactive learning, children will uncover the mysteries of forces and gain a deeper understanding of these fundamental concepts.
Hands-On Exploration and Experiments
Robotic Cars:Â Students will engage with robotic cars and other dynamic vehicles, exploring how energy is utilised to propel them forward. They will delve into different types of energy conversion, discovering the principles of motion, including acceleration and friction.
Glow in the Dark Discovery:Â Children will investigate the properties of luminescent materials and their relationship to energy. They'll explore how energy is absorbed and released by substances, leading to the phenomenon of glow in the dark. Through experiments and observations, they'll discover the role of energy in producing light.
Creating Flying Propellers:Â Students will secure propellers to straws and experiment with aerodynamics to optimise flight performance. Through trial and error, they'll learn about the forces at play, understanding the dynamics of flight and the principles of aerodynamics.
Temperature Checks:Â Using temperature guns, children will measure and compare the temperatures of various items and surfaces. They'll investigate how energy is transferred as heat and the factors that affect thermal conductivity. Through hands-on exploration, they'll gain an understanding of the relationship between energy and temperature.
Air Cannon Power:Â Students will use air cannons to explore the principles of air pressure and kinetic energy. They'll investigate how changes in air pressure can be harnessed to create movement and propulsion. Through experimentation and observation, they'll learn about the role of energy in generating force and motion.
