Are you ready to unlock the secrets of energy and motion? Join us for an exhilarating experience designed for primary school students as we delve into the wonders of forces in our Energy Forces School Circuit!




Discover the Wonders of Energy and Motion

How does energy propel objects? What role does air pressure play in movement? How does temperature affect energy transfer? These are just some of the questions we'll explore in this engaging STEM activity. Through hands-on experiments and interactive learning, children will uncover the mysteries of forces and gain a deeper understanding of these fundamental concepts.


Hands-On Exploration and Experiments


This immersive STEM circuit invites students to explore the many ways energy can be transformed and transferred to create motion, light, and heat. Through a series of hands-on experiences, students engage with key physical science concepts in a way that is active, playful, and highly memorable.


Across the circuit, students will:

  • Experiment with motion and propulsion using simple, energy-powered mechanisms

  • Investigate how air pressure and forces can be used to generate movement

  • Explore flight through trial-and-error investigations into lift, force, and drag

  • Examine how energy can be transformed into heat by comparing temperatures across different surfaces

  • Discover how certain materials absorb and release energy as light in glowing, energy-based experiments


This circuit aligns with the Australian Curriculum, encouraging students to make predictions, test outcomes, and build foundational understanding of how physical forces and energy affect the world around them.

  • 1 x PDF Educator Resource (includes Snapshot of workshop, Analysis of Learning, Follow on activity ideas and MTOP, Australian Curriculum and the NQF)


Workshop Requirements

  • Access to an electrical power outlet

  • Access to tables and chairs

  • Chair for presenter

  • Ability to darken part of the room
