Terms & Conditions

Set out below are the terms and conditions (Terms) between the Workshop school/service/person booking in workshop (you), and Beyond The Beanstalk (us). These Terms apply to all workshops hosted by us (Workshops). When booking in a workshop you agree to be bound by these Terms.

The aim of Beyond The Beanstalk is to provide children aged from 3-18 enrolled in Education and Care Services/primary schools across Australia (such as day care, pre-schools, kindergarten, outside school hours care, vacation care, family day care, occasional care, etc.) and any other educational service with hands on and age-appropriate educational experiences in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. 

 

By booking and participating in our workshops, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. They are as follows;

Individual Workshops

Bookings

We will confirm your workshop once your payment has been confirmed.


1. Bookings are to be made online at www.beyondthebeanstalk.com.au OR via telephone (02) 7205 3734.
2. Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of a booking confirmation. Bookings can’t go ahead without a booking confirmation or payment.
3. Beyond the Beanstalk will contact you within 7-14 days of your booking to confirm numbers and age group.
4. Any children over 30 will be charged at a rate of $9.00 per child up to a maximum of 40 children. For more than 40 children please contact us to discuss pricing.

5. On the day of workshop if there is no answer to centre phone and presenters are not able to find your service or cannot gain entry to service, the workshop for that day will either be cancelled or rescheduled depending on availability.
6. If you have not provided the correct centre/school details the workshop will not go ahead and will have to be either cancelled or rescheduled depending on availability and discretion of the business owner.

Travel Fee*

1. Travel fees are as per below:

  • 1km - 60km = $0 ex GST

  • Travel over 60 kms is charged at a rate of $0.95 a km ex GST (travel to and from the service is calculated)

 
Payment

1. Once terms and conditions have been signed an invoice will be sent to you from our accounts team and payment will be required immediately to ensure your spot.
2. Workshops can be paid either online via credit card or electronic bank transfer.
If you would prefer we can issue an invoice, which can be paid via online credit card, electronic bank transfer, BPAY and AFTERPAY.


Cancellation*

1. In the event you need to cancel your workshop, you must contact us in writing at info@beyondthebeanstalk.com.au

Cancellation periods are as follows;

• 4 weeks notice = 100% refund
• 3 weeks notice = 0% refund
• 2 weeks notice = 0% refund
• 1 week notice = 0% refund

 

2. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, a make-up day may be able to be arranged. Please contact Beyond the Beanstalk the Beanstalk via email info@beyondthebeanstalk.com.au 


*COVID-19 restrictions may affect whether a workshop can operate. If this is the case, Beyond the Beanstalk representatives will be in contact with you and will happily reschedule your workshops. Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

 

In the unlikely event of any changes, due to unforeseen circumstances, the performance will be rescheduled and any cancellations will be at the discretion of Beyond the Beanstalk, fees apply in the event a scheduled performance does not proceed as per our T & C’s.
 

10 Week Program

Bookings

 
1. Bookings are to be made online at www.beyondthebeanstalk.com.au OR via telephone (02) 7205 3734.
2. Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of a booking confirmation. Bookings can’t go ahead without a booking confirmation or payment.
3. A Beyond the Beanstalk representative will contact you, to discuss and confirm dates and times as well as which workshops you wish to participate in. This will happen within 24 hours of booking and payment.
4. The advertised price of $3650 ex GST caters for up to and including 30 children. Any children over 30 will be charged at a rate of $9.00 per child up to a maximum of 40 children. For more than 40 children please contact us to discuss pricing.

5. After terms and conditions have been signed, If payment is not made prior to workshop we reserve the right to refer to our cancellation policy, 

6. After terms and conditions have been signed and Beyond the Beanstalk or its representatives is unable to make contact with the service/school we reserve the right to refer to our cancellation policy.

7. Collection processes will commence if no communication with Beyond the Beanstalk or its representatives has been made in regard to payments that are 14 days overdue.
8. On the day of workshop if there is no answer to centre phone and presenters are not able to find your service or cannot gain entry to service, the workshop for that day will either be cancelled or rescheduled depending on availability.
9. If you have not provided the correct centre/school details the workshop will not go ahead and will have to be either cancelled or rescheduled depending on availability and discretion of the business owner.

General Terms and Conditions

Supervision
 
1. Beyond the Beanstalk employees are not counted in service educator to child ratios.
2. Service educators, within correct ratios must be present at all times during the workshop.  

Fit to work with children  
1. All Beyond the Beanstalk staff will have a valid Working With Children Check.
2. Services will receive STEM presenters WWCC number prior to the workshop.
3. All Beyond the Beanstalk staff are COVID-19 vaccinated as required by NSW government to work within an education setting. Proof of vaccination can be shown upon request, prior to or on the day of workshop. 

*Terms and conditions

1. Please note that our terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

 

*Travel Fee

1. Travel is charged at $0.95 per kms.

2. Accommodation will also be added to invoices depending on location, number of workshops booked and the area if it is needed.

*Cancellation

1. Please note that cancellation for regional centres is at least 6 weeks prior to the workshop.

Media Release  
1. Media Release forms will be supplied to service prior to the workshop.
2. Media release forms (individual and whole service) will be emailed to the service upon booking confirmation.
3. Beyond the Beanstalk staff will liaise with educators to ascertain if any children are not to be photographed.
4. By giving consent, you authorise Beyond the Beanstalk, its assignees and transferees, to copyright, use and publish photographs and video footage in print and/or electronically.
5. Photographs and video footage will be used for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, social media and web content.

 

Refunds

 

Refunds will be processed promptly upon client information being received and typically take approximately 14 business days to be credited back to the original payment method.

We strive to ensure that all refund requests are handled efficiently and fairly.

Terms and Conditions for STEM Workshop Deals

  1. Booking Confirmation:

    • All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed upon receipt of full payment or a deposit as agreed upon with Beyond the Beanstalk.

    • Workshops must be booked as a complete package as per the agreed deal. Individual workshops from the package cannot be separated or rescheduled outside of the agreed program timeline.

  2. Payment Terms:

    • Full payment or a deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is due by the date specified on your invoice.

    • Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or any other method specified in the invoice.

    • Late payments may result in the cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of any deposits paid.

  3. Cancellation and Rescheduling:

    • Cancellations are subject to the following refund policy:

      • 4 weeks notice: 100% refund

      • 3 weeks notice: 0% refund

      • 2 weeks notice: 0% refund

      • 1 week notice: 0% refund

    • Rescheduling requests must be made at least 14 days before the workshop start date and will be accommodated subject to availability.

  4. Special Offers:

    • Any special offers, including the free additional workshop with a workshop package booking, are only valid for the duration of the promotional period.

    • The free workshop is non-transferable and must be scheduled within the program timeline.

    • Special offers cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions.

  5. Program Delivery:

    • Beyond the Beanstalk will deliver all workshops as per the agreed schedule. Any changes to the schedule must be mutually agreed upon in writing.

    • In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., instructor illness, extreme weather), Beyond the Beanstalk reserves the right to reschedule workshops with prior notice.

  6. Liability:

    • Beyond the Beanstalk will take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of participants during workshops. However, we are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses that occur during the workshops unless directly caused by our negligence.

    • It is the responsibility of the client to inform us of any special requirements, allergies, or medical conditions of participants prior to the commencement of the program.

  7. Intellectual Property:

    • All materials, content, and resources provided during the workshops are the intellectual property of Beyond the Beanstalk and are intended for educational use only.

    • Clients may not reproduce, distribute, or use the materials for any other purpose without prior written consent from Beyond the Beanstalk.

  8. Privacy:

    • Beyond the Beanstalk respects your privacy and will handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will not share your information with third parties without your consent.

  9. Amendments:

    • Beyond the Beanstalk reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to clients in writing.

  10. "Respect for Living Creatures: During our workshops, we encourage curiosity and care for all living creatures. Any intentional harm or injury caused to insects or animals used in our programs will not be tolerated. In the event that any insects are deliberately killed or harmed, a penalty fee will be applied to cover the costs associated with replacing the insects and maintaining the integrity of our educational program."
