This hands-on experience combines exploration and engineering, allowing students to understand how metal detectors work and create their own devices to take home. Watch as your child becomes an explorer and engineer through a series of exciting activities: Metal Detection Exploration: Students begin by using large metal detectors to uncover hidden metals. They learn how metal detectors create reactions when they come into contact with different types of metals, sparking curiosity and excitement. Understanding Reactions: Through guided experiments, kids gain an understanding of how ferrous metals interact with electromagnetic fields. This foundational knowledge sets the stage for the next phase of their adventure. Handheld Metal Detector Construction: With newfound knowledge, students move on to constructing their own handheld metal detectors. This hands-on activity challenges them to apply what they've learned, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills.
