Welcome to Grandpa's Bubbling Sandpit STEM Workshop Join us for an exciting adventure with Beyond the Beanstalk’s Grandpa's Bubbling Sandpit STEM Workshop! Designed for children aged 2-5 and 5-12, this workshop brings Grandpa's tales to life through hands-on scientific exploration. Perfect for teachers and early childhood educators, our programme aligns with the EYLF, MTOP, and Australian Curriculum, offering a rich and educational experience. Grandpa's Adventures in Science Grandpa is back with more fascinating stories of his global adventures. In his youth, Grandpa saved relics to preserve them in museums for everyone to enjoy. One of his favourite places to hide these treasures was in his bubbling sandpit. Now, children can join in the fun and discover the science behind this magical sandpit. Hands-On Learning with the Bubbling Sandpit Fluidised Airbed Exploration: Watch and Learn: Children will observe a fluidised airbed (bubbling sandpit) and see how sand movements are affected by air flow. Bernoulli's Principle: Learn the basics of Bernoulli's Principle and how it applies to the bubbling sandpit. Interactive Experiments: Apparatus Demonstration: Use special apparatus to demonstrate Bernoulli's Principle in action. Mechanics of the Sandpit: Explore the mechanics behind the bubbling sandpit and experiment with different objects to see how they react. Take-Home Experiment: Each child will create their own Bernoulli's Principle experiment to take home, reinforcing their learning experience.
