Looking for an engaging Insects in the City STEM Workshop for your Queensland preschool, school or OSHC service? What happens when insects need a little help in the big city? In this hands-on Storytime STEM adventure, children explore the fascinating world of urban insects and discover how different mini beasts survive, find shelter and meet their needs in environments shared with people. Through storytelling, investigation, movement and collaborative STEM challenges, children explore insect habitats, adaptations and the different things insects need to survive. They’ll examine insects and insect features, think like young scientists and engineers, and work together on our giant, child-sized Insect Hospital experience. It’s a lively combination of science, engineering, imaginative play and problem-solving designed to get children talking, questioning, creating and looking at the tiny creatures around them in a completely different way. We bring everything required for the workshop to your service, including equipment, resources and educator learning links.
