Welcome to Jurassic Deep STEM Workshop Embark on an underwater adventure with Beyond the Beanstalk’s Jurassic Deep STEM Workshop! Designed for children aged 2-5 and 5-12, this exciting workshop immerses young learners in the fascinating world of aquatic dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures. Perfectly tailored for teachers and early childhood educators, our programme aligns with the EYLF, MTOP, and Australian Curriculum, ensuring a rich and educational experience. Dive into the Prehistoric Underwater World Children will explore the wonders of the prehistoric underwater world: Learn About Aquatic Dinosaurs: Discover the incredible aquatic dinosaurs that once roamed our oceans and gain insight into their immense size. Modern Cousins: Examine fish and water creatures that are modern relatives of these ancient giants. Hands-On Science Exploration Prehistoric Hatchery: Setting Up a Tank: Children will set up a tank to create prehistoric conditions, aiming to hatch a triop, a creature unchanged for 300 million years. Hatching Experiment: Can you get the conditions just right to hatch your very own omnivorous triop? Fossils and Artefacts: Explore Fossils: Children will examine fossils and other artefacts, gaining a hands-on understanding of palaeontology. Plesiosaur Science Experiment: Each child will take home a plesiosaur science experiment, extending their learning experience beyond the workshop. Curriculum Integration Our Jurassic Deep STEM Workshop is meticulously designed to align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), My Time, Our Place (MTOP), and the Australian Curriculum. The activities and resources are crafted to meet educational standards, ensuring seamless integration into your existing curriculum.
