Welcome to Inside the Beanstalk STEM Workshop! Step back in time and marvel at the awesomeness that is DINOSAURS! Join Beyond the Beanstalk’s Inside the Beanstalk STEM Workshop for an immersive journey into the prehistoric era. This hands-on workshop is tailored for teachers and early childhood educators, aligning with the EYLF, MTOP, and Australian Curriculum to ensure a rich and educational experience for young learners. Unearth and Assemble Dinosaur Excavation: Before construction can begin, children will dig for dinosaur skeleton parts, experiencing the thrill of an archaeological dig. This activity fosters teamwork and introduces them to the basics of palaeontology. Skeleton Construction: Working together, children will construct a large dinosaur skeleton, gaining a tangible understanding of the size and structure of these magnificent creatures. This collaborative project enhances problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Explore and Create Fossil Examination: The group will have the opportunity to look at and hold real fossils and replica dinosaur skulls, deepening their understanding of these ancient beings and the process of fossilisation. Dinosaur Skeleton Replica: Children will make their own dinosaur skeleton replicas, combining creativity with scientific inquiry. This hands-on activity reinforces their learning and allows them to take home a piece of their adventure. Curriculum Integration Our Inside the Beanstalk STEM Workshop is meticulously designed to align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), My Time, Our Place (MTOP), and the Australian Curriculum. The activities and resources are crafted to meet these standards, ensuring seamless integration into your existing curriculum.

  • Access to an electrical power outlet

  • Access to tables and chairs

  • Chair for presenter

  • Ability to darken room for Glow Getters, Where the rainbow Goes, Universe Reversed and Treasure in the Sky
