Jurassic Dig – Snappy STEM: Explore Dinosaurs & Fossils! Unearth the mysteries of the prehistoric world with Beyond the Beanstalk’s Jurassic Dig – Snappy STEM Workshop! This hands-on, 40-minute Snappy STEM session invites children aged 5-12 to become junior palaeontologists, combining excavation, fossil exploration, and dinosaur construction. Fully aligned with the EYLF, MTOP, and Australian Curriculum, this workshop blends scientific discovery with interactive fun. Dig, Discover, and Build Dinosaur Excavation: Children will dig for dinosaur bones, experiencing the excitement of a real archaeological dig while building teamwork and problem-solving skills. Skeleton Construction: After excavation, children will assemble a large dinosaur skeleton, gaining a hands-on understanding of dinosaur anatomy and size. Hands-On Fossil Exploration Fossil Examination: Participants will inspect real fossils and replica skulls, exploring the process of fossilisation and what these ancient remains reveal. Curriculum-Aligned & Engaging The Jurassic Dig – Snappy STEM Workshop is designed to meet the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), My Time Our Place (MTOP), and the Australian Curriculum.
