What can the way an animal moves tell us about how it lived? Jurassic Walk takes children into the science of dinosaurs, movement and prehistoric life through hands-on STEM investigation. Children explore how body shape, size, limbs and balance can influence the way animals move, while considering how different dinosaurs were adapted to their environments. Through observation, comparison and scientific reasoning, children are encouraged to examine evidence, make predictions and think about how palaeontologists reconstruct the behaviour of animals that disappeared millions of years ago. Blending palaeontology, biology and biomechanics, Jurassic Walk turns children’s fascination with dinosaurs into a deeper investigation of movement, adaptation and scientific evidence. We bring all workshop equipment and resources to your service for approximately 75 minutes of hands-on STEM discovery.
