This STEAM activity looks at the world of crystals.

Join us as we hear the story of Glenna, the dawn fairy as she has an adventure on this end of the beanstalk. Glenna breaks her magic fairy crystal and has to find all the pieces before she can go back home.

Children will be invited to look at, touch and hold a variety of Brazilian crystals and talk through the different methods of finding and shaping the crystals.

In this STEAM activity children will also make a 'crystal' like pendant of their very own to keep.
They will look and make different crystal growing recipes and also how to grow crystals on objects. These experiments will start forming before their eyes but can take up to 48 hours to be complete. When these experiments are completed, the children will also get to take a closer look at the crystals using our microscope converters. They will look at the crystal surfaces at a magnified level.
